Kindergarten News 9/14

Well, we made it through our first full week!  When you get this we will have had our second adventure in the computer lab, had our first cooking experience (yummy apple pie), tried our hand at painting again,  celebrated Clifford's birthday, taste tested apples, and had our first full Fun Friday!

The PTO would like us to participate in a basket raffle during the book fair later this month.  Our class is signed up for "Arts and Crafts"basket.   If you would like to contribute an item or two (stickers, crayons, markers, clay, etc) to our class basket, please send it in sometime next week.  I have included a sheet of raffle tickets for your family to sell if you choose.

This week we reviewed our abc's, used several of our tools from our toolbox (scissors, crayons, markers, glue sticks, etc)  We also are practicing the sight words I, can, red.  Ask your child about them.

I hope your child is adjusting to our busy schedule.  We have a DE-lightful class, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year!  Enjoy the outdoors this weekend!

Blessings,
Mrs. Schoeneck

p.s.  Homework for the weekend is playing a game with your child and reading a story!
