The King joins the game! This is tricky - we will need lots of practice.

Ms Mary Jo helps us with our banking.
 We are learning how to exchange money.  

Finally - the King.
He can go one step in any direction.  He can NEVER move himself
 into danger.  When your king is in danger, we call it "CHECK".
 What should you do?

Mr. Heck, an elementary ed student from the University of Morris
 (and a very dear part of Mrs. Schoeneck's family)
 has spent the last 2 days with us.  He is learning how children learn to read.
 I am reminded again what an amazing process it is, and am so proud of the great
effort these children put in everyday to become better at it!  They are amazing!
